Murphy Oil CEO Undergoes ‘Unscheduled Medical Procedure’

Murphy Oil Corp. of El Dorado on Tuesday said company CEO Roger Jenkins had undergone an “unscheduled medical procedure” earlier in the day.

The company (NYSE: MUR) said in a news release that the procedure “went well” and that Jenkins was expected back in the office next week.

The nature of the procedure was not disclosed.

In Jenkins’ absence, John Eckart, executive vice president and CFO, will lead the company’s first-quarter earnings conference call on Thursday with the assistance of Gene Coleman, executive vice president, global offshore, and Mike McFadyen, executive vice president, North America onshore.

The call is scheduled to start at noon.
