Jerry Thomas, vice president for academic affairs at National Park College in Hot Springs, is one of the 35 selected for the 2023-24 Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship, a program delivered in collaboration with the Stanford Educational Leadership Initiative that prepares the next generation of community college presidents for success. Thomas has been with the college for more than 7 years.
Larry Chisenhall has joined Gill Ragon Owen of Little Rock as senior counsel. Chisenhall has more than four decades of experience, specializing in regulatory and public utility law. Brianna Cook has been named shareholder/director at Gill Ragon Owen. Cook will practice in the sectors of corporate and public finance, Qualified Opportunity Zones, corporate mergers and acquisitions, business entity formation, employment law, and health law registration and compliance. Emily Towe has joined the firm as an associate. Towe is a member of the Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Missouri bars and will practice general and commercial litigation as well as labor and employment law.
Rhiannon Evans has been promoted to director of operations at Pinnacle Legacy Law of Little Rock. Evans was previously a case manager. Sarah Fendley has been promoted to managing attorney at Pinnacle. She was previously an associate counsel.
Dr. Shane Jennings has been hired as the chief medical officer for Baptist Health’s hospitals and clinics in western Arkansas. This includes the hospitals in Fort Smith and Van Buren. Christian Gross has been hired as vice president of operations at Baptist Health-Fort Smith and Baptist Health-Van Buren. Gross has experience in various leadership positions in Texas health care.
Dr. Sarahrose Webster has joined Baptist Health-Fort Smith as a general surgeon. Webster has more than a decade of experience and will offer a range of general surgery in her practice, including trauma and skin surgery.
