New Dining Options Say Aloha to BentonvilleLock Icon

1 min read

You may remember Whispers told you about chef Rob Nelson’s plans for a food truck back in spring. Well, the owner of Tusk & Trotter American Brasserie in Bentonville has put some meat on those bones.

Pig & Swig Hospitality Group, the restaurant group of which Nelson is a part, has a couple of new concepts coming down the pike. One is the food truck, Mister Hand’s Pizza, “righteous slices for all.” A soft opening was planned for last week.

The other is a “German-inspired concept,” which Nelson hopes to have open by the end of the year.

“That’s one cool thing about this restaurant group,” he told Whispers. “We’re not just duplicating one restaurant and just making copy after copy after copy. Every concept that we’re doing right now is completely different from each other.” (For more about Nelson and his plans for a Tusk & Trotter in North Little Rock, see Tusk & Trotter Finds Argenta to Its Taste.)

Nelson is a child of the 1980s, and Mister Hand’s Pizza is a bit of an homage to that 1982 classic “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and righteous surfer Jeff Spicoli.

We’ll end with some Spicoli wisdom: “All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and I’m fine.”

Hard to argue.
