New Keet Kitchen Coming to CantrellLock Icon

2 min read

Did you know the Jim Keet family is cooking up another eatery in Little Rock?

The restaurateurs recently bought a 1.5-acre site at 15000 Cantrell Road in west Little Rock for $680,000 as a launching pad for a new Taziki’s Mediterranean Café format.

This model will be a free-standing affair and feature curbside and drive-through service. The 3,500-SF-or-so restaurant will also have a meeting room.

The Keet clan, which includes sons Tommy and Jake, hope to have the prototype open by the end of the year.

In related foodie news, the Keets are moving forward to develop a new concept restaurant at the former Cock of the Walk location in North Little Rock.

A fun destination restaurant is the vibe the Keets are shooting for. Details of what that will look like and what name will capture that ambiance are a work in progress.

And, as we told you in December, space for meetings and events will be part of the package at the 8,536-SF building, along with the Keet family’s catering business.

The scope of spring cleaning at 7103 Cock of the Walk Drive off Maumelle Boulevard has spilled outside onto the 4-acre property. The small manmade lake, waterfall and other landscaping are receiving some much-needed TLC.

You might recall the Keets, through their JTJ Restaurants LLC, purchased the dormant Cock of the Walk property for $400,000 in November from Tri-Star Corp., led by Rebecca Hogg.

JTJ acquired the west Little Rock property earlier this month from the aptly named 15000 Cantrell Road LLC, led by Kris Upton.
