New Little Rock Medical Marijuana Dispensary Has New OwnersLock Icon

1 min read

Hip-hop artist Berner was the star, naturally, but Little Rock lawyer Alex Gray was in the crowd for this month’s grand opening of west Little Rock’s first medical marijuana store, Berner’s by Good Day Farm. (See Berner, a Big Name in Cannabis, Hits Little Rock.)

Gray owned the outlet — which recently moved to Chenal Parkway from Rodney Parham Road — with law partner Nate Steel and their wives before they reduced their stake earlier this year.

Ann Marie Gray owned 30% of the dispensary and Alex Gray, its licensee, had 20% before the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission approved the ownership change in a March 3 meeting.

Nate Steel, Gray’s partner at Steel Wright Gray PLLC of Little Rock, was another 20% owner. His wife, Lauren Steel, owned the remaining 30%.

The Grays and Steels now own less than 2% of the dispensary combined, and New Orleans shipping magnate Donald Thomas “Boysie” Bollinger holds the largest stake, 25.51%.

Ownership by Arkansans, who hold just under 72%, is led by Todd Denton of Godfather Investments LLC at 9.18%.

Five Arkansans, all prominent in the state’s business world, each hold a 6.38% stake: Dianna Huchingson,  Larry Middleton, Mark Middleton, Kimberly Brockinton and Wendy LaFrance.
