New Neurosurgeon Joins UAMS (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Deanna Sasaki-Adams has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock as a vascular and skull base neurosurgeon and as a professor in the College of Medicine’s Department of Neurosurgery.

Allen Childers has been promoted to advanced practice provider clinical director of South Arkansas at Arkansas Urology. Childers will provide operational support in El Dorado, Monticello and White Hall. Jeff Thomas has been promoted to advanced practice provider clinical director of men’s health at Arkansas Urology. He will provide leadership in practice areas specific to men. He joined Arkansas Urology in 2011.

Timothy Donahue has been named chief financial officer at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. Donahue will be responsible for the fiscal health of the hospital, including oversight of all financial departments. He has more than 20 years of experience in health care finance, including as chief financial officer for medical facilities and medical equipment companies in Kentucky.

Nina Goza has received the title of professor emeritus of accounting at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Shelia Jackson received the title of professor emeritus of kinesiology and rehabilitation science.

Tracy Tucker has joined the University of Arkansas at Monticello as the vice chancellor of the UAM College of Technology-Crossett. Tucker has three decades of experience in education, most recently as the superintendent of the Hermitage School District. Tucker also was an instructor at UAM and a special assistant to the commissioner of the Arkansas Department of Education.
