New Rides Coming to Wild River Country in 2015

1 min read

Wild River Country in North Little Rock has some new rides to usher in the 2015 season and celebrate 30 years of business.

The water park says it’s the first time in 10 years a new attraction has been added. In all, three new attractions will be added. The price tag for the additions: $1.2 million. The new rides are AquaLoop Slide, Speed Slide and Free Fall Plus Slide.

Clint Albright, a spokesman for WRC, says the rides will be constructed together and should be in place by the time the park opens May 16. The park is projecting an additional 50,000 visitors, thanks to the new rides, and could create new jobs.

“If response is strong, it could provide as many as 20 new positions at the park,” Albright said.

The new attractions are the latest in a string of improvements made by new ownership at the park, Aquapark Holdings LLC, who took over in 2013. Albright said the improvements, totaling more than $2 million, included new equipment, infrastructure, safety, painting, paving and landscaping.

Season passes to the water park are $49.99. For more information, click here.
