Retail Connection of Dallas plans to add over 500,000-SF of retail stores to Benton's south side.
A proposed 516,000-SF retail center is on the drawing board for the south side of Benton.
The would-be site of the Benton Town Center is at the northwest corner of Interstate 30 and Arkansas 229.
The Retail Connection of Dallas is the catalyst behind the proposed 75-acre development.
A conceptual site plan lists three retailing chains as having signed letters of intent to set up shop at the project: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michael’s and Ulta Beauty.
The Retail Connection has dropped the names of 10 other tenants they hope to attract to the development: J.C. Penney, Studio Movie Grill, Petsmart, Ross Dress For Less, Bed Bath & Beyond, Gordmans, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden and Chick-Fil-A.
