Newk’s Eatery is opening a fourth restaurant in the Little Rock area at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31.
The chain of casual restaurants, based in Jackson, Mississippi, said its new store will be located at 11610 Pleasant Ridge Road in Little Rock.
The restaurant will have indoor dining for 154 and patio space for nearly 30 more in a 4,770-SF space.
There are also locations in North Little Rock, midtown Little Rock and Hot Springs. The Pleasant Ridge restaurant will be the sixth in the state.
As part of a plan to expand from its more than 80 locations in 13 states to more than 200 units by the end of 2018, Newk’s has plans to boost its Arkansas presence to at least a dozen total restaurants, according to a news release.
“Arkansas is an important piece of the puzzle, serving as a gateway for us as we look to expand the Newk’s brand from the Southeast into the lower Midwest,” Chris Newcomb, CEO, said in a news release. “We’re particularly thrilled to increase density in Little Rock — right in the heart of Arkansas.”
