Nick Copas Named to Baldwin & Shell Board

1 min read

Nick Copas, president of Baldwin & Shell’s Industrial Services Division, has been elected to the company’s board of directors.

Copas joined Baldwin & Shell in 2003 as a day laborer who spent his evenings taking construction management and business classes at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

In late 2008, he began working at the corporate headquarters as a project coordinator, and soon became a project manager tasked with estimating and managing the company’s metal building contracts.

Copas became vice president of industrial and structural services in 2014. He reintroduced Baldwin & Shell to the manufacturing sector and developed more than 30 new private sector clients during his two years as vice president.

He also successfully executed the firm’s first joint venture contract and has been instrumental in expanding Baldwin & Shell’s business beyond the borders of Arkansas, according to a news release.

Copas, who is the son of CEO Scott Copas, has been division president since 2017. He was among Arkansas Business’ 2017 40 Under 40 class.
