Hilburn Calhoon Harper Pruniski & Calhoun Ltd. of North Little Rock has changed its name to Hilburn & Harper Ltd.
“The firm has experienced several significant internal events in the last two-and-a-half years, including the very untimely passing of Jack Pruniski in 2018 and the subsequent retirements of both John Calhoun and Ken Calhoun,” Ernie Harper, a partner at the firm, said in a statement emailed to Arkansas Business.
“We accordingly thought this to be a fitting time for us to both reaffirm and renew our commitment to our clients, a commitment that began with the firm’s founding almost 50 years ago, and, at the same time, put forward the increased leadership role the next generation of lawyers in the firm must play in today’s evolving legal world.
“In sum, our firm has a revived perspective for and looks forward to a future bolstered by each of these commitments, one historic and one forward-looking but each of paramount importance.”
Sam Hilburn, another partner, said in a news release, “We strongly feel this refreshed brand helps identify who we are today and the direction in which we are headed.”
Harper added, “Our firm’s new name is as much a natural and progressive evolution as it is a rebranding, and we believe it is reflective of a mix of classic and modern viewpoints that suits us perfectly. Our clients can, of course, expect the same unwavering commitments to excellence and client service, which we have always had and are only reaffirmed and enhanced by the rebrand.”
The rebranding includes a new logo and renewed online presence, the firm said. A new website is in development and is expected to launch later this year.
