Noell Family Sells Jonesboro’s DNW Outdoors

2 min read

The Noell family has sold DNW Outdoors & Automotive, the outdoors and automotive accessories retailer they have operated in Jonesboro since 1987.

Financial details were not disclosed. The new owners are Susie Parish and her adult children, Cady and Cody Parish, and Cody’s wife Lindsey, according to a news release from Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate & Development of Jonesboro, which represented Dennis and Kay Noell in the sale.

The Parish family co-owns the Central Dealership group, which sells Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick GMC, Toyota, Nissan and Ford automobiles in Jonesboro and Trumann.

“For generations, my family has been involved in many local businesses such as Central Dealerships and Parish Family Farms,” Susie Parish said in a news release. “My late husband, Tony Parish, had a true love for the outdoors between farming and hunting. I know he would’ve been greatly supportive of our children [Cody & Cady Parish], grandchildren, and me with this business adventure. I look forward to watching them grow in this industry for generations to come.”

Joshua Brown, principal at Haag Brown, said the sale process began when the Parish family approached him about acquiring a business or starting a venture in town. Brown said he contacted the Noells. Lindsey Parish, a Century 21 agent, represented her family in the transaction.

“We are just excited to see a young, enthusiastic local family stepping up to guide DNW,” the Noells said in a news release. “While we both plan to stay on helping with the transition, it is time for us to slow down.”

The couple founded the company as a truck accessories shop in 1987. According to the DNW website, they added a 1,000-SF sporting goods store to the operation in 2002.

“Little did they know, DNW Outdoors would become one of the top sporting goods stores in the state of Arkansas, and has now grown to a 30,000-square-foot location sharing the passion for hunting and fishing all around the United States,” the website says.

The store is located at 1711 E. Parker Road.
