This year has seen the biggest jump in licenses issued by the state to breweries in Arkansas in the last 10 years, and the year is only half over. As of June 16, 12 licenses had been granted by the state in 2021. Unsurprisingly, none was issued in the pandemic year of 2020.
Among those licensed this year are Burks Brothers Brewing in Bryant, Pridgin Family Brewery in Scranton (Logan County), Three Birds Brewing Co. in El Dorado, Wicked Head Brewing in Trumann and Social Project Brewing Co. in Bentonville.
Not all of them are open yet. The Facebook page for Wicked Head, for example, features photos showing construction work on its space.
Nevertheless, this year is providing Arkansans with a lot more choices in craft breweries throughout the state.
