FORT SMITH – A company that makes components for the oil and gas industry is to spend $8 million and hire 40 new workers at its plant in Fort Smith.
Butler and Cook Inc. said Wednesday it is adding machinery over a two-year period as its orders are expected to increase.
Operations Manager David Gossett says the company has a goal of being one of the largest high-tech manufacturers in the Arkansas.
The Southwest Times Record reports ( ) the company produces precision parts and materials for buyers in Arkansas, Louisiana, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Texas. It also has customers in Canada.
