Ozark Candies & Nuts Inc. of North Little Rock, led by Jim Dobry Jr. and Joan Dobry, purchased 3.6 acres at 6200-6208 MacArthur Drive in North Little Rock for $208,000.
The company also does business as Ozark Nut Roasters and has a retail location inside McCain Mall. It also sells its products at Sam’s Clubs on a rotating basis and select gift shops.
Owner Jim Dobry told Arkansas Business that Ozark Candies & Nuts is planning to build a 6,000- to 10,000-SF complex with a commercial kitchen, shipping facility and retail store on the recently purchased land.
Ozark Candies & Nuts plans to move its operations from a 1,851-SF building at 6311 Kelly Road on 1.44 acres, a location where it doesn’t have a retail store.
Dobry said the company will hire an architect next year, so the square footage he provided is his best guess at how large the complex will be.
