Callie Parks and John Neumeier have new positions at Baptist Health and Practice Plus in Little Rock.

Parks has been hired as associate vice president of ambulatory innovation. Parks was previously an administrative fellow at Baptist Health in the corporate offices.

Neumeier has been promoted to associate vice president of credentialing, managed care, professional network and practice acquisitions at Practice Plus. He has been with Baptist Health and Practice Plus for almost 25 years and has 35 years of experience in public accounting and financial management.

Dr. Muhammed Mir has joined Mercy Clinic Pulmonology in Fort Smith as a pulmonologist.

Mir’s primary focus is caring for patients suffering from chronic lung problems, including COPD, asthma and lung disease. He graduated from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan and is board-certified in pulmonary disease with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Mir completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he also held a fellowship.

Dr. Raj B. Patel has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock as a kidney and liver transplant surgeon. Patel received his medical degree from the Louisiana State University-Shreveport School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and a fellowship in abdominal transplants at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

Dr. Rodrigo Valdes-Rodriguez has joined UAMS in Little Rock as a dermatologist. Valdes-Rodriguez is board-certified in dermatology in both the United States and Mexico. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila in Mexico. Valdes-Rodriguez completed a dermatology residency at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí and a second dermatology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Dr. Anudeep Surendranath has joined CHI St. Vincent Neurology Clinic in Hot Springs as a neurologist. Surendranath earned his medical degree from Narayana Medical College in Nellore, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at McLaren Flint Hospital in Flint, Michigan, and in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Michigan.
