Pediatrics Plus is enlarging its Conway facility by 22,000 SF, an expansion that on completion will bring 10 new jobs.
Amy Denton, the co-owner of Pediatrics Plus, said she is “thrilled” about expanding the company’s reach in Conway, according to a company news release.
“This new and improved facility will allow us to provide even more specialized space and services for the more than 500 families” at the Conway location, Denton said.
Work at the site, at 2740 College Ave., started last month. Project completion is expected by early 2016. In addition to a multipurpose room for parents and staff training, the updated facility will feature a daily living suite, both a low- and high-sensory therapy gym, a feeding and swallowing lab, and a fully accessible playground with specialized equipment and rubber surfacing.
With the 10 jobs expected to be added, Pediatrics Plus will employ 125 employees at the enlarged 40,108-SF facility.
After 13 years of operation, Pediatrics Plus has progressed from working out of a home office with barely a dozen families to providing specialized health care services to more than 1,000 special-needs children across the central Arkansas and River Valley areas. Pediatrics Plus also has locations in Little Rock, North Little Rock and Russellville.
