Arkansas Tech University announced that Peter Dykema and Jacob Grosskopf will assume co-director roles for the Arkansas Governor’s School at ATU in advance of the summer 2023 program.

They succeed Robin Lasey, who has provided leadership for AGS since it was awarded to Arkansas Tech in September 2018. Lasey is leaving the university in Russellville to pursue another career opportunity, the university said in a news release.

Dykema, who joined the ATU faculty in 2001, is a professor of history. He holds a bachelor’s from Hope College, a Master of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary and master’s and doctorate degrees in philosophy from the University of Arizona.

Grosskopf is an associate professor of geology. He joined the university in 2016. Grosskopf holds a bachelor’s from Louisiana Tech University and master’s and doctorate degrees in philosophy from Louisiana State University.

AGS serves selected students from around the state during the summer before their senior year in high school. The four-week program begins July 5.
