Mike Orndorff, one of the developers helping revive Little Rock’s Pettaway neighborhood, has two more proposed projects in the works.
The first is a $2.4 million, 16,000-SF mixed-use apartment complex at 501 E. 21st St. Orndorff, owner of Mike Orndorff Construction LLC of Little Rock, expects to begin work on that in the next six weeks.
The second is a $3.6 million project called Rock 21 at 401 E. 21st St. It comprises 17,000 SF of office, retail and restaurant space and another 7,000 SF of residential space. James Meyer of Taggart Architects of North Little Rock is the architect for that project, and Orndorff hopes to begin construction on it a year from now, if he gets city approval.
Orndorff developed 17,100-SF Pettaway Square and recently opened Pettaway Coffee at 406 E. 21st St., which he describes as the state’s first nonalcoholic bar, with business partner Aaron Long.
The Pettaway neighborhood encompasses the area south of Interstate 630 to East Roosevelt Road and west of I-30 to Main Street.
