Landmark CPAs can officially say it has a home in Conway. The company opened its local office on Merriman Street in early January, and co-managing member Randy Milligan said the company and its employees couldn’t be happier to be there.
“It’s not only a commitment to the community but also a commitment to our employees,” Milligan said. “When we announced we were opening an office in Conway, you can’t imagine the happiness in our staff.”
Landmark is among the largest and fastest-growing accounting firms in the state, with over 200 employees in Arkansas alone. The Arkansas-based accounting firm traces its roots to the 2018 merger of Beall Barclay & Co. with Thomas & Thomas, and in early 2025, it expanded yet again by acquiring Garland and Greenwood.
“We have a lot of clients in Conway,” Milligan said. “It’s just somewhere we want to be. It’s where I want to be, and a lot of our employees.”
Milligan has lived in Conway since 1983, when he moved to attend college at the University of Central Arkansas. His children graduated from Conway High School then followed in his footsteps at UCA. He said the company has a close relationship with the local colleges, noting that Landmark even has a designated classroom at UCA.
“We hire so many kids from UCA and Hendrix and Central Baptist,” said Milligan. “We have several interns working for us right now in Conway, and having the office makes it nice, because they can go to class, come work a few hours, go back to class if they need to.”
Landmark CPAs is a full-service public accounting and business advisory firm, offering tax, audit, accounting and business consulting services. The company has a separate wealth management arm, called Landmark Financial.
Milligan credits the company’s success to its employees. The Conway office employs 30 of the company’s approximately 225 employees between offices in Arkansas and Arizona.
“We have some great employees who want to be involved in this community,” he said.
He said one senior manager is planning to go through the Leadership Conway program this year to learn more about the community. Public service goes hand-in-hand with the public accounting work done at Landmark, he said.
“A lot of our audits we do are nonprofits here in town, so we’re volunteering and sponsoring things with those groups, our staff are volunteering,” Milligan said.
Landmark’s new office in Conway is located at 710 Merriman St. Other Landmark CPAs locations are in Bentonville, Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Rogers and Russellville, as well as Scottsdale and Surprise, Arizona.
