Dr. Priya Mendiratta, a geriatrician and director of the geriatric clerkship and course for medical students at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, was invested Jan. 16 in the Alexa L. & William T. Dillard Distinguished Chair in Geriatrics.

AmyLeigh Overton-McCoy, a leading geriatric nursing specialist with UAMS, was invested Jan. 16 in the Murphy Endowed Chair for Rural Aging Leadership & Policy.

Ben Amick has been named the associate dean for research of the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at UAMS.


Neelie Dobbins, associate professor of teacher education at Southern Arkansas University, has been named SAU’s first College of Education Alumni Endowed Professor.
