Pulaski Tech Appoints 5 New Deans (Movers & Shakers)

John Lewis, Mason Campbell, Marico Howe, Christy Oberste and Bentley Wallace have been named deans of five University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College divisions.

Lewis, dean of the new admissions and financial aid division, has served as director of financial aid at Christian Brothers University in Memphis since 2013.

Campbell, the new dean of student affairs, previously worked as academic and student affairs specialist at the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.

Howe will head the new School of Sciences, Mathematics & Allied Health and most recently worked as assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy at UAMS and assessment coordinator for the Office of Interprofessional Education in the UAMS Graduate School.

Oberste, who has served as chair of communication at UA-PTC since 2014, will head the new School of Fine Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences.

Wallace, UA-PTC’s vice chancellor for economic development since January 2013, will head the new School of Technical & Professional Studies.


Shaneil Ealy has been named associate vice president for the Division of Outreach & Community Engagement at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Ealy has worked in the division for 15 years and served as assistant vice president for the past two years. She has served as president of the UCA Staff Senate and the Arkansas Council for Women in Higher Education and currently serves as secretary for the Conway Public Schools Foundation Board.
