
Samar Qedan, an advanced practice registered nurse, recently joined Washington Regional Walker Heart Cardiovascular Clinic in Fayetteville, where she provides care to patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
Qedan earned a master’s degree in nursing from UAMS and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas. Qedan is an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and has more than five years of cardiology experience in hospital and ambulatory settings.
Dr. Anuradha Kunther, a hematologist-oncologist, joins the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Her clinical practice focuses on gastrointestinal malignancies and genitourinary malignancies. Kunther graduated from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences in India and served her residency at the North Division of Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. She completed UAMS’ hematology/oncology fellowship program in 2011 and has served as a staff physician at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System since then. She is also involved in teaching medical students, residents and oncology fellows.
Dr. Robert W. Bradsher Jr., a professor of infectious diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine at UAMS, has received the 2020 Distinguished Faculty Service Award from the UAMS College of Medicine. Bradsher has held many leadership roles during the past four decades, including 32 years as director of the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine. The Pine Bluff native received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1972 and his medical degree from UAMS in 1976. Bradsher interned and completed his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He continued his training with a fellowship in infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Rhonda Benton has been named director of human resources of CHI St. Vincent Sherwood Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner of Encompass Health. In this role Benton helps to ensure the fair treatment of hospital employees as well as directs employee recruitment and retention at the 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
