Another apartment complex in Little Rock is under the threat of being declared a public nuisance.
According to a suit filed in Pulaski County Circuit Court, Quail Valley LP, which manages the Quail Valley apartments at 5300 Baseline Road, was convicted in January of several sanitary- and infrastructure-related safety violations.
The suit also cites a series of felony drug charges made in January against former resident Jada Robinson including maintaining a drug premise.
Robinson pleaded guilty to the charges in April.
The city wants to declare the apartments a nuisance, restrain Quail Valley from maintaining the nuisance conditions and have the residents evicted and the buildings razed.
A couple of years ago, a similar situation occurred with the notorious Valley Heights Apartments at 6900 Cantrell Road.
However, those buildings were never torn down and instead new ownership entered the picture last month after a $2 million foreclosure sale.
Quail Valley LP is owned by Kohner Properties Inc. of St. Louis. The company has not yet responded to the suit and no one was available for comment.
