Quartet of Doctors Join New Clinics (Movers & Shakers)

Health Care

Dr. Greg St. John, an interventional cardiologist, has joined Hot Springs Cardiology Associates. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. A native Arkansan, St. John is a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where he also completed his internship, residency and fellowship.

Dr. Taylor Moore has joined the North Little Rock office of Arkansas Urology, part of the Baptist Health System. Moore earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a member of the American Urological Association and American Medical Association.

Dr. Fiorella Nawar is now providing care for patients in the intensive care unit at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith. She most recently practiced medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Nawar earned her medical degree from Lebanese University in Beirut in 2005.

Dr. Joe Hackler has joined Arkansas Cardiology in Little Rock, a clinic of the Baptist Health Heart Institute. A graduate of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Hackler recently completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. He is seeing patients in Little Rock, White Hall, Warren and Malvern.

Education

Gema Zamarro has been named to the 21st Century Chair in Teacher Quality at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, one of six endowed chairs in the Education Reform Department in the College of Education & Health Professions. Zamarro is a native of Spain who earned her doctoral and master’s degrees from Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros and her undergraduate degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Trevor Francis, the director of the advising center in the University of Arkansas’ Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences since 2010, has been named associate vice provost in the newly created Office of Graduation & Retention, effective Sept. 15. Francis will lead the university’s effort to increase the UA’s six-year graduation rate from 60 to 70 percent by 2021.

Technology

Brandy Leung, Christy Cobb and Neil Gray have joined DataPath Inc. of Little Rock. Leung, DataPath’s new quality assurance manager for information technology, has 14 years of experience in software development and quality assurance testing in the health care industry. Cobb’s new title is business relationship manager. Her experience includes roles as regional manager, director of operations and vice president in corporate health management. Gray is a sales representative. He previously established and managed Bellboy Waste Services.
