Jon Brawner, the convicted felon who told authorities he knew where missing construction executive John Glasgow is buried, was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison, according to The Log Cabin Democrat.
Brawner was sentenced after being found guilty of violating an order of protection and stalking his ex-wife, the Conway newspaper reports on its website.
While awaiting sentencing in the stalking case, Brawner had told Little Rock police detectives that acquaintances to whom he owed money had pressed him into helping bury Glasgow’s body in a bean field near England in Lonoke County.
Subsequent searches of the field turned up no new evidence.
In a Jan. 23 story, Arkansas Business examined Brawner’s claims and his role in the attempted kidnapping of Conway businessman Jim Daven. The failed plot took place 18 months after Glasgow, the CFO of CDI Contractors of Little Rock, disappeared.
According to the Log Cabin Democrat, Brawner’s attorney said that "Brawner continues to maintain that he does know where the body is buried and that investigators searched the wrong area."
