Rhett Stover has been named president of Mercy Northwest Arkansas Communities of Rogers after a nationwide search. He will lead operations and strategy for Mercy’s hospitals and clinics across northwest Arkansas and work with community leaders to maintain high care standards. This will include a 30-year collaboration with the Alice L. Walton Foundation and the Heartland Whole Health Institute, both of Bentonville. “Serving alongside such an exceptional team of physicians and caregivers, I am honored to partner with our talented team at every level to carry forward the great progress underway in Northwest Arkansas,” he said in a press release announcing his hiring.
Before joining Mercy, Stover was president of Proactive MD of Greenville, South Carolina, an advanced primary care network and care organization covering 22 states. Before that, he was regional president at Healthcare Highways of Frisco, Texas. Stover also held several leadership roles, including president and CEO, at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, which is managed by Mercy.
Stover earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. He went on to complete a Master of Science in health care administration at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
