Ritter Communications Lands Another $44M For Broadband Projects

Ritter Communications of Jonesboro this week announced that it has been awarded eight grants worth approximately $44 million to deploy broadband in rural parts of the state.

The grants, approved by the Arkansas Legislative Council, are offered through the Arkansas Rural Connect program that is funded by federal American Rescue Plan dollars.

The $44 million brings the total grant funding awarded to Ritter to $67 million. 

The areas that will see broadband as a result of the recent grants are:

  • Cross County Crowley’s Ridge ($3.2 million).

  • Cross County West ($4.3 million).

  • Jefferson County Northeast ($4.3 million).

  • Jefferson County Northwest ($11.3 million)

  • Pope Appleton/Hector/Scottsville ($5.7 million).

  • Pope Southwest ($7.1 million).

  • Francis County North Central ($4.3 million).

  • Francis County Northwest ($3.3 million).
