Ritter Communications has promoted Victor Esposito to chief technical officer of the Jonesboro telecommunications services provider.

Ritter, the largest privately held telecom company exclusively serving the Mid-South, said that in his new position Esposito will help ensure that business and residential customers keep access to the most innovative communication products and services in Ritter’s footprint.

Esposita will lead all of Ritter’s technology teams, “leveraging his vast knowledge of industry processes and technology insights,” the company said in a news release. With 24 ]years of tech industry experience, he joined the company in April as senior vice president of engineering and network operations.

Esposito succeeds Greg Sunderwood, who retired this month after 11 years with Ritter Communications.

Ritter CEO Alan Morse said Sunderwood has played a key role in driving company growth. “His work greatly contributed to our fiber network expansion and created important customer relationships as we entered new markets.” The company has expanded advanced fiber optic connections over the past year in towns like Walnut Ridge, Hoxie, Centerton, Marion, and several towns in Tennessee and Missouri.

“We wish [Sunderwood] the best and are grateful for all he did to set Ritter Communications up for a bright future,” Morse added.

Ritter President and COO Heath Simpson said Esposito has been integral to helping the company keep its pledge of reliability to customers. “He has the leadership, skills and drive to keep us and our customers on the cutting edge of innovation as well as maintaining the company’s steep growth trajectory,” Simpson said in the release.
