Ritter Communications of Jonesboro is extending its telecom and advanced cloud services further in Missouri, the company has announced.
Ritter, the largest privately held telecom company exclusively serving the Mid-South, is now offering those services through a $2.3 million project in Jackson, Missouri, north of Cape Girardeau. The self-funded investment will “benefit businesses and schools in the Jackson community,” a Ritter news release said.
The company made its first major expansion in Missouri last year in Cape Girardeau.
“The need for high-quality broadband services continues to increase,” Ritter CEO Alan Morse said in a statement. “The services we offer and the solutions that come with them ensure all organizations can continue their day-to-day operations by providing access” to tools that they need.
Ritter Communications is bringing a system of 100% fiber connectivity to power its broadband offering, including speeds up to 100 gigabits per second, the release said. Customers can also have access to Ritter’s Communications Data Technology Center, a highly secure facility staffed by local customer support teams, the company said. The center offers cloud services, storage and “unique information security.”
Ritter’s chief revenue officer, Kyle Keith said that signals traveling at the speed of light “will give Jackson businesses a competitive advantage.”
Construction of the new system should be complete by the end of February, and then businesses will be able to sign on, Ritter said. Ritter Communications serves more than 120 communities in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and Tennessee.
