Ritter Putting High-Speed Fiber in Marion

1 min read

Ritter Communications of Jonesboro announced it is investing $3.5 million to extend high-quality fiber communications to some neighborhoods in Marion.

The company, the largest privately held telecommunications provider exclusively serving the Mid-South, says its RightFiber service uses 100% fiber optic technology to deliver internet, TV and phone services at speeds up to 5 gigabytes.

CEO Alan Morse said in a statement that the company is proud to offer “future-proof” services in Marion, calling RightFiber ideal for families and homes with smart devices. “On average, U.S. households now have 22 connected devices in their homes,” homes that he says could benefit from high-speed internet “with no lagging or buffering.”

Marion Mayor Tracy Brick said in a news release that high-speed internet is necessary for work and entertainment these days. “The community is pleased to welcome RightFiber to our city as a competitive new service option,” he said.

Ritter said it would inform residents of areas where the service is available through door tags, door-to-door visits by team members, mail and signage.
