Ritter Communications of Jonesboro said late last week that it will invest $12 million in expanding its fiber high-speed internet to business customers in four Arkansas cities in the River Valley Region: Alma, Ozark, Fort Smith and Van Buren.
Plans call for Alma and Ozark to be connected this month, Fort Smith to be connected in the fourth quarter and Van Buren to be connected in the first quarter of 2022.
Construction is underway in Fort Smith.
“Access to quality broadband internet is a must-have for all Arkansas businesses. Our highly-advanced internet services utilize the latest technology to provide rural communities with the most reliable and affordable broadband connectivity,” CEO Alan Morse said in a news release. “As we continue our efforts to close the digital gap in Arkansas, Ritter Communications looks forward to bringing our 100% fiber, state-of-the-art broadband internet services to the River Valley business community.”
Ritter will offer a full suite of telecommunications services, deliver internet speeds up to 10 gigabits per second and access to its data technology center, equipped with a local customer support team.
In addition, the company is contributing $5,000 to the Morgan Nick Foundation, which seeks to educate communities on child safety and empower children with essential safety knowledge and skills.
