Ritter Communications of Jonesboro is investing $5.4 million in fiber optic infrastructure to bring faster internet connections to neighborhoods in Rogers and Lowell in northwest Arkansas.
The investment will offer residents Ritter’s RightFiber brand of services, a suite first offered to Arkansas residences in 2021. It delivers up to 5 gigabytes of internet speed, as well as TV and phone options to communities in Arkansas and west Tennessee.
Ritter announced its expansion into Centerton in September, and plans to announce another northwest Arkansas expansion within months, the company said in a news release.
Recently installed Ritter Communications CEO Heath Simpson said in a statement that the company is excited to offer RightFiber broadband services in Rogers and Lowell.
“We are committed to providing our customers with the high-quality internet and world-class customer service we’re known for,” Simpson said.
The mayors of Rogers and Lowell also praised the additional internet service option.
“High-speed broadband at home is a necessity in today’s digital world,” Rogers Mayor Greg Hines said. “Ritter Communications’ investment brings our citizens another option for at-home internet that fits their needs.”
Lowell Mayor Chris Moore said he deeply appreciated the investment. “This project will bring Lowell residents a high-quality broadband service with improved connectivity,” Moore said in the release.
The company said residents can visit rightfiber.com to see if their neighborhoods are in the expansion’s footprint. The company will reach out to eligible residents with door tags, mail offers, yard signs and door-to-door visits from team members, the Ritter release said.
Ritter is the largest privately held telecommunications company serving the Mid-South exclusively, the company said. It serves more than 51,000 customers in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri and Tennessee.
