1 min read

Rob Guthrie of Little Rock has been named chief executive officer of Bernhard, the New Orleans-based engineering firm. He previously served as chief development officer for the firm.

This promotion follows the news of a succession plan being implemented in the firm. The plan will begin June 11, 2024. Guthrie will be succeeding previous CEO Ed Tinsley, also of Little Rock, who will be moving into a new role within the firm. “I am honored to be named the next CEO of Bernhard, and I want to thank my mentor, Ed Tinsley, as well as the Bernhard Board of Directors  and our shareholder DIF Capital Partners for placing their faith in me,” Guthrie said in a press release. “I have big shoes to fill, but I am excited for the challenge and can’t wait to get started.”

Guthrie brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role. He has been with Bernhard since 2018. Prior to serving as chief development officer, Guthrie served as executive vice president of the development division and vice president of business development. His previous experience includes directing business development at Entegrity and construction compliance manager at the Clinton Foundation.

Guthrie received a Spanish degree from The University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee, in 2003. He received a master of business administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2023.
