Donna Bowers, director of operations for Rock Region Metro, the public transportation system for central Arkansas, has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 honoree by Mass Transit trade journal.
Bowers joined Rock Region Metro in September 2014 after serving six years at Denton County Transportation Authority in Texas.
Kirkley Thomas, vice president of governmental affairs for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, was recently named an honorary life member of the Southern Economic Development Council of Atlanta, a 71-year-old association of economic development professionals.
Lauren Greenlee, assistant professor of chemical engineering at the University of Arkansas, has received a fellowship award of $267,507 from the National Science Foundation’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research to continue her work characterizing metal-based catalysts to improve the next generation of fuel cells and batteries.
Patrick McConnell has rejoined Mainstream Technologies in Little Rock as part of the software development unit.
McConnell previously worked for Mainstream for nine years and most recently was a programmer analyst for Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
