Rockline to Expand in Springdale to Fill Wal-Mart Order

2 min read

Rockline Industries of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, announced Thursday that it has invested $15 million in expansion at its Springdale plant to accommodate a new facial wipes line for Wal-Mart.

Production of the wipes is being moved from Europe. Rockline makes cosumer wet wipes and coffee filters and employs more than 800 workers in Arkansas.

The Springdale expansion will result in the addition of more than 50 jobs over the next year, Rockline said.

Wal-Mart has committed to purchasing an additional $250 billion by 2023 to support U.S. jobs and manufacturing. On Thursday, Rockline and Wal-Mart held a dedication for the new manufacturing line at the Springdale facility.

“Wal-Mart has been a great partner for many years and we’re pleased to be working with them to bring jobs back to the U.S.,” said Randy Rudolph, Rockline Industries president. “Rockline has always been dedicated to helping the communities in which we operate and we’re confident this move will create a beneficial impact throughout the state of Arkansas.”

Rockline recently expanded its U.S. wet wipe production capacity by purchasing a 240,000-SF plant in Russellville. That expansion allowed the company to accommodate increased production for the facial wipe line in Springdale, Rudolph said.

Rockline also has a plant in Booneville.

“Congratulations to Rockline Industries for bringing jobs and manufacturing back to the U.S.,” said Cindi Marsiglio, vice president for U.S. sourcing and manufacturing at Wal-Mart, in a news release. “Our customers have told us that second to price, where products are made influences their purchase decisions. We are focused on buying great quality products that create jobs in communities across the U.S. It makes sense for our customers, our communities and our company.”
