Rodney Hawkins Named EVP, Audit Exec at Simmons Bank

Rodney Hawkins has been named executive vice president and audit executive of Simmons Bank.

“Rodney brings three decades of Fortune 500, public company experience and a highly regarded track record to Simmons Bank, along with a tremendous work ethic,” Chairman and CEO George Makris Jr. said in a news release.

Before joining Simmons, Hawkins was chief compliance officer and vice president of internal audit at Windstream Communications. He also previously worked for Time Warner Inc. as its vice president of internal audit.

A certified public accountant, Hawkins holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia.

He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society in Arkansas.
