Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Memphis announced plans to expand to Jonesboro under a partnership with St. Bernards Healthcare, Hunt Properties and Hyatt Place Hotels.
The collaboration will bring “much-needed support” to families with critically ill children receiving medical care in northeast Arkansas, the nonprofit said in a news release.
The location and construction timeline for the Jonesboro project have not been set.
RMHC helps families with sick, injured or hospitalized children gain access to care and resources, reducing stress and financial burdens. At RMHC programs, families can stay together, rest, interact with families going through similar experiences and enjoy home-cooked meals near hospitals and medical centers.
“We are thrilled to partner with St. Bernards Healthcare and Hunt Properties to bring the mission of RMHC to Northeast Arkansas,” Jill Crocker, RMHC of Memphis executive director, said in the release. “This expansion allows us to further our commitment to family-centered care and enhance the support we provide to patients and their families during difficult times.”
