Whispers has a brief update on the Root Cafe’s second location, at Breckenridge Village at 10301 N. Rodney Parham Road in Little Rock.
Owner Jack Sundell tells us that he hopes to get his certificate of occupancy in the next two to three weeks and then to open three to four weeks after that. That likely means an opening after the first of the year.
He also notes that the restaurant is about to start hiring for both locations, the one at Breckenridge and the original Root Cafe at 1500 Main St., since some of the Main Street workers will be moving to the Breckenridge site. He advises job-seekers to keep an eye on the Root’s social media.
