Lexicon Inc. of Little Rock announced it has promoted Ryan Walmsley from vice president to president of the company’s fabrication group.
Walmsley has nearly 20 years of experience in the steel industry. He joined Lexicon in 2019.
In his new role, he’ll lead Lexicon’s fabrication and erection teams on commercial and industrial projects from conception to completion. The fabrication group includes Custom Metals of Little Rock, Prospect Steel Co. of Little Rock, and Steel Fabricators of Monroe, Louisiana.
In a news release, Lexicon COO Steve Grandfield praised Walmsley’s “steady, focused leadership style.”
“There are exciting opportunities ahead for our Fabrication Group, and I am confident that under Ryan’s leadership, it will achieve much success,” Grandfield said.
Walmsley has been a part of numerous Lexicon projects, including the fabrication and erection of the new Tesla manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas; fabrication of a new steel mill in Brandenburg, Kentucky for Nucor; multiple large Amazon sortation buildings in multiple states; and fabrication of a new steel mill in Osceola for Big River Steel.
Before joining Lexicon, he was project manager and director of sales and estimating at LPR Construction Co. in Loveland, Colorado.
Walmsley graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in construction management.
