The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Arkansas District Office named Edward Haddock as the new deputy district director. Haddock’s responsibilities will include helping boost economic development by ensuring the delivery of loan programs and business development services.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Haddock has background in marketing, finance and strategic planning.
“Edward’s strong leadership, outreach skills and creative talents in the Arkansas District have elevated him to a new position as deputy director,” said regional administrator Yolanda Garcia Olivarez in an SBA news release. “We are also very proud that Edward is a veteran. His service to our nation continues in his new role as he works to support and strengthen small businesses.”
Haddock has been working as SBA’s senior area manager in northwest Arkansas. There, he led the outreach and development of SBA programs and services across the area.
Haddock started his SBA career in Newark, New Jersey, where his roles included veterans business development, women’s business center representative and international trade counselor.
Before working at the SBA, Haddock held leadership roles in small businesses and was the executive director of a nonprofit. During his active duty military career he held positions in maintenance operations, training and finance.
Haddock holds an MBA from Rutgers Business School and an undergraduate degree in business management from John Brown University.
