Cheryl Schluterman has been named director of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority in Little Rock, a division of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, effective July 1.
She has served as interim president of ADFA, and this appointment makes her position permanent. Schluterman is a CPA with a master’s degree in accountancy.
David Branscum has been named the 2019 Rural Advocate of the Year by the Arkansas Rural Development Commission at the annual Arkansas Rural Development Conference held at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
Branscum is a former member of the Arkansas House of Representatives and is currently the state director of the USDA Office of Rural Development.
Circuit Judge Cindy Thyer of Jonesboro is the first female judge in Arkansas to obtain a master’s degree in judicial studies.
She graduated with her master’s degree from the National Judicial College partnered with the University of Nevada.
