You might notice in this week’s Real Deals that Il Futuro LLC, led by Wes Martin and Josh Davenport, bought the old Orbea building at 700 W. Broadway in North Little Rock for $2.8 million from The Works at Rockwater LLC, led by Jim Jackson and Lisa Ferrell.
But did you know it gave Seal Solar, which has moved into the 36,350-SF space from its former home on Main Street in Argenta, its first chance to house its offices and warehouse space in one building?
Davenport is CEO of Seal Solar, a developer of sun arrays and battery storage sites; Martin is principal and a vice president at the Hathaway Group, the Little Rock commercial real estate firm.
Davenport told Whispers it’s “the first time in our 10 years of business that our warehouse and offices are under the same roof.” The deal came about through synergy, he said, with Evolve Auto, the electric car dealership that Seal has an interest in, which was already based at the site.
“The goal was to offer a place where a client can come in to talk about solar on their roof, talk about batteries in their garage and talk about an electric vehicle,” Davenport said. “It’s a one-stop shop for energy independence in one location.”
Jackson and Farrell have kept offices of the Jackson Law Firm in the building, leasing the space, Davenport said.
