The search for the remains of missing construction executive John Glasgow in a field near England, Ark., on Monday turned up nothing more than shards of old pottery.
Arkansas Business news partner Today’s THV reports that authorities, using archeological equipment, failed to find any evidence of human remains at the site where convicted felon Jon Brawner said he helped bury the body of Glasgow, missing since 2008.
Police, aided by sonar-type equipment, dug at at least three sites in the field off Old Dirt Road on Monday where scanning last week indicated something might have been buried. They ultimately turned up nothing but tiny shards of pottery, according to a report by Today’s THV.
According to Brawner’s attorney, Brawner told Little Rock police detectives that acquaintances to whom he owed money had pressed him into helping bury Glasgow’s body in a bean field near England in Lonoke County.
During the summer growing season, police searched a small portion of the field and found no evidence. They planned to return once the field had been harvested.
