The French manufacturer that plans to produce insulators for the Plains & Eastern Clean Line transmission line project was offered a host of incentives for opening a plant in West Memphis.
Sediver CEO Rene Tabouret has said the company had “positive and constructive” meetings with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and city of West Memphis, which resulted in a package of incentives.
According to the AEDC, those incentives include a $340,000 grant from the Governor’s Quick Action Closing Fund, a planned cash rebate for creating new jobs and sales tax refunds for building materials and certain equipment.
Ward Wimbish, the economic development director for the city of West Memphis, said the city also offered the company up to $100,000 in reimbursable infrastructure assistance.
