Dan Sanker doesn’t like it when things don’t work perfectly.
That mindset drove him to found CaseStack, a logistics company, in 1999, and SupplyPike, a software company, in 2018. SupplyPike, which works with consumer packaged goods companies, won the Arkansas Business of the Year award for companies with between 56 and 150 employees in 2024.
Sanker, then the company’s CEO, sold SupplyPike for $206 million to SPS Commerce Inc. of Minneapolis this summer but remains an adviser.
He sold CaseStack for $255 million in 2018.
“I pursued a career in the retail supply chain industry because I have an insatiable drive to improve inefficiencies,” Sanker said. “Whenever I encounter something that doesn’t work properly, it drives me to envision and create something better.
“I am happy to utilize my experience and expertise to continue developing innovative solutions that solve many critical problems.”
Sanker had a career in retail before deciding to try his hand at entrepreneurship. He said his success is all about collaboration.
“While there have been many significant milestones throughout my career, my greatest accomplishment lies in the ability to assemble and inspire exceptional teams,” Sanker said. “I take immense pride in finding and cultivating individuals who not only excel in their respective fields but also collaborate effectively. Building a team culture centered around innovation and collaboration has been instrumental in our success at SupplyPike.”
Sanker said teamwork and focus have helped his companies navigate through a challenging, changing business environment.
“My management philosophy is rooted in simplicity yet profound impact: ‘Let’s stay focused on the things that matter most,’” Sanker said. “In an ever-changing and fast-paced industry, it’s crucial to prioritize essential tasks and maintain clarity of purpose. I firmly believe in empowering my team, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed, while also holding them accountable for their actions.”
