Here are five things we sincerely hope most of us in Arkansas can agree on:

• Frank Broyles, who died last week and who brought greatness to University of Arkansas sports, was loved and will be missed.

• Had Broyles never made his legendary contributions to Arkansas sports, he still would be remembered with respect for his efforts to support the families of those who suffer from Alzheimer’s and to bring attention to the disease.

• The state of Arkansas will miss Georgia Mjartan, the longtime executive director of Our House, and her husband, Dominik Mjartan, CEO of Southern Bancorp Community Partners. The couple are moving to South Carolina, where Dominik Mjartan will become CEO of South Carolina Community Bank in Columbia. Both have made their mark in Arkansas, but perhaps Dominik will forgive us for focusing on Georgia, an excellent leader as well as administrator who made a national model out of Our House, a shelter for the homeless that works to bring those it helps to self-sufficiency. We wish the best of luck to her replacement at Our House, Ben Goodwin, a Hendrix College and Oxford University graduate and Rhodes Scholar.

• Jamie Dimon, the J.P. Morgan CEO who served on President Donald Trump’s Strategic & Policy Forum, one of the business councils Trump disbanded last week, was right when he said: “It is a leader’s role, in business or government, to bring people together, not tear them apart.”

• Nazis are bad.
