Southern Airways Express announced last week a new non-stop daily flight from South Arkansas Regional Airport in El Dorado to Memphis International Airport and one-stop service to Nashville, beginning May 2.
The company already offered flights to Dallas (DFW) from the El Dorado airport.
Southern said the new service will allow for continued connections over DFW; easier connections to Eastern cities like Philadelphia, New York and Washington, D.C.; and convenient connections to major carriers operating at the Memphis airport.
Tickets are on sale now.
This will be the first time that El Dorado has had Memphis service since 2016.
In addition, Southern’s midday flights between Memphis and Nashville are timed to allow for El Dorado connections with just a 20-minute layover.
Southern is completing its second year as the air service provider at El Dorado and has recently posted record-breaking statistics, including the second best load factor at the airport in the last 15 years and a flight completion rate of more than 99 percent.
