Dr. Samir Patel has joined Sparks Health System in Fort Smith as an internal medicine physician. Patel will treat adult patients for a number of conditions, including high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
He most recently completed an internal medicine residency at Western Reserve Health Education at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Youngstown, Ohio.
Naomi Roundtree has been hired as director of human resources for the city of Fort Smith. Roundtree, a veteran of the U.S. Army, has served more than 15 years in the human resources field and has experience in benefits management and compliance with federal and state human resource regulations.
