Northwest Arkansas has a new option for cardiology patients. The Fort Smith-based Sparks Cardiology Center opened a new clinic in Van Buren last month.
"Our top priority is to take excellent care of our patients. With the addition of a team of cardiologists, Crawford County patients will now have expert heart care in their own community," said Sue Conley, CEO of Summit Medical Center.
The new clinic, at 2020 Chestnut St., is next to the Summit Medical Center and will be open 8:30-11 a.m. Mondays. Thanks to the two Sparks clinics, patients in and around Crawford and Sebastian counties will have access to heart care.
The Van Buren clinic is staffed by Dr. Marino Leonardi, who specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology; invasive cardiologist Dr. Robert Parris; non-invasive cardiologist Dr. Thomas N. Williams and interventional cardiologists Dr. Abdul-Nasser Adjei, Dr. Sheharyar Ali and Dr. Ayhan Zia.
The Van Buren team will also work with heart patients at Summit Medical Center.
